Mainly, a humorous a thread where I ask: How much would you donate towards a new laptop to replace my knackered MacBook so that I can play TT2 again? I have chosen US dollars for the poll (solely because Oddlabs does in TT2).

I've voted for $20-50 because it's all I can afford at the moment. And I'm a Marxist . I did have another poll option which said 'None, s*d off you free-loader' but for some reason it has disappeared (because I used the word s*d?).

Please do make comment on how much you have voted for. It does make me a little happier to know that people would genuinely help me out, no matter to what degree.

10-99 cents

Even though I would have prefered:

"100 dollars, but it's a loan and the interest rate is 200%"

Yes thanks for the offer with that rate but I can easily get a better one from the banks. Did I say banks? I meant to say ****s.

Hang on, 99 cents? You cheap *******.

Oh that sounds very kind of you. Think I might change my wish to an iMac because, though I prefer laptops, I really should get a larger screen for work. Having said that, what model/how old is your MacBook?

Who's the other person who voted for $50?

Well so far, you good people have offered to donate between $206.30 and $285.97+. Perhaps if I could reach half the cost of a new machine, I could persuade family to pay for the other.

Maybe I should start a new poll as to how I should destroy my old MacBook (this will be filmed and posted on YouTube of course).

More people know me in the TT2 section and I suspect only so many go to the Off Topic section. What I should have done it set up a PayPal donation button (but we can't use html here )! If I do destroy my laptop, rest assured I will run a poll as to how it should be dispatched and carry out the destruction in front of a 'rolling' camera.
