I can't even complete stage 1 of the tutorial because of the absence of an Insert key or numpad. And then attempting stage 2, I learn that increasing/decreasing the game's speed is also hindered by the absence of a numpad. Should I just balk at ever trying to play TT1 on my Powerbook G4?

Some of the older macbooks have a numerical keyboard on the buttons of the right side of the normal keyboard, that can be activated with the fn key.

The speed can be controlled in the options menu.

You can hold down the F key and move the mouse to change the direction of the view.

You can hold down the z key and move the mouse to change the zoom.
