Please tell me which game you like better-Tribal Trouble 1 or Tribal Trouble 2!

TT1, because TT2 is more time consuming especially in that 6FFA one, chain reaction. Also im just alot more familiar with TT1(not that i'm new to TT2 or anything, i was one of the first people to play it.) I liked TT2 alot more than TT1 when it first came out, because cool maps, cool people, i could play it with friends in real life, and there was a score board too, remember that dak? Epic. The only reason i really went back to TT1 is because they made you start with 150 guys, BLARGH, so i spent all my oddies on like 200 men and 175 space in armory. "It just wasnt doing it for me" so i reverted back to my TT1 ways.

You only get to play as natives (africans) in one map in the single-player quests, and you play against them in a handful of maps, but you can't play as natives in multiplayer

The main thing that gives TT2 the short end of the stick for me is the buying system. I like it how in TT1 you can have a 1-time-buy sort of deal and then you have everything unlocked, so all players on the same level. In TT2 people can more or less 'buy themselves to victory', by purchasing a rediculous amounts of Oddies and then get everything maxed out. Now I know that anyone can do this in theory, but some people (myself included) don't have that money to spend on that number of Oddies, and will be left stuck having less of an advantage to playing other people, and slowly (very slowly) gain more Oddies through multiplayer games to eventually catch up to those people. Not too fun if you ask me, I like diving straight into starting my own skill base with everything given to me as soon as I start. I know there are many holes that could be picked in that argument, but I will still stick to it.

The next thing is the playing style of TT1, with their randomly generated maps and such. The hand-drawn maps were a great idea, yet it results in somewhat redundant gameplay, and then 'elite' strategies would emerge for the maps from people playing them hundreds of times over. The RGT in TT1 makes it so an entire new set of skills are required to read and work the map, but on the flip side you also get the riggers, and occasionaly the plain crap maps.

Also, a ranking system. I know that the TT1 league is corrupt etc, but I am more talking about the wins/loss statistics you can view on anyone's profile, whereas in TT2 you just have to judge skill based on reputation.

They both have their ups and downs, but overall I like my good ol' TT1.

looks like TT1 is in lead...

more people were formiliar wit tt1 as opposed to tt2. the transformation from one to the other isnt easy bc of the diff strategies. like the no natives. i like the natives and despise the vikings. so not being able to play as them on multiplayer sux to me
